[Quick Thoughts] Let's Talk About | Elimination Chamber: Perth

Welcome back to the blog, here are some quick thoughts about Elimination Chamber: Perth.

The stadium and crowd had a WrestleMania vibe to it, the Women's Elimination Chamber Match was great, the PLE hit the ground running from there, shoutout to everyone involved, congratulations to Becky on her win.

Finn Balor & Damian Priest of The Judgment Day defeated worthy challengers, Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne to remain Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, Miz and Truth could be waiting in the wings to be the next challengers and perhaps win the belts at WrestleMania 40.

The Grayson Waller Effect segment with Austin Theory, Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes was entertaining, yet seemed like a show filler in all honesty, something we would usually see on a episode of RAW and SmackDown, this was also put together to get Grayson Waller, who is from Australia, involved on the show and further the potential Cody & Seth versus The Bloodline Storyline.

Congratulations to Drew McIntyre for winning the Men's Elimination Chamber Match, he will challenge Seth for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.

Rhea Ripley successfully defended the Women's World Championship against Nia Jax, what a great moment this must have been for Rhea, to compete in front of her home country crowd, this would have meant a lot for Nia also, as she competed in the Main Event of a PLE.

Rhea vs. Becky is now official for WrestleMania.

These are quick thoughts about the PLE, hope you enjoyed the read, stay tuned for more content, in the meantime be sure to check out the archives on this website.

Let's Talk About | The 2024 Royal Rumble

Welcome back to the blog, it is time to talk about the 2024 Royal Rumble, as always there was a lot of excitement and anticipation as to who would make an appearance during the prestigious event.

Let's begin with the Women's Royal Rumble Match, for previous reviews, there would be a list of thirty participants, that will not be the case this year, instead we will break it down like D-Generation-X and mention the surprises and returns, starting with Naomi, great to see her on WWE TV again, the crowd acknowledged her with "welcome back" chants.

If you have been watching/following TNA Wrestling, you would know Naomi, who went by her real name, Trinity, had a storyline with the fifth entrant, Jordynne Grace, for the Women's Championship, hopefully they will continue the story in the WWE one day. Naomi's run in the match lasted over an hour, she was eliminated by debutant Jade Cargill, Liv Morgan was the Number 30 entrant and was lastly eliminated, for the second year in a row, this time by many people's pick to win, Bayley, who will go on to WrestleMania and possibly challenge Iyo Sky for the Championship.

Shoutout to R-Truth, who provided the funniest and one of the most memorable moments of the night when he interrupted Valhalla's walk to the ring as he thought it was the Men's Rumble.

The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship was on the line in a fatal four way match, to be honest, it was surprising to see this contest go on second in the running order, the deck was stacked against Roman Reigns, the challengers were, Randy Orton, AJ Styles and LA Knight (Yeah) this was a fast paced match, with many near falls, the usual Bloodline interference from Solo Sikoa, Roman pinned AJ for the win, the Greatest Of All Time continues his reign as Champion. Acknowledge Him.

Logan Paul versus Kevin Owens for the United States Championship ended in a DQ win for Paul, after the referee noticed Owens wearing brass knuckles, it's 2024 and the referees are finally noticing when someone is trying to find an easy opportunity to win. this feud looks set to continue, subject to change of course.

It was time for the Main Event! the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble Match, which began with YEET! and NO YEET! Jey and Jimmy Uso for those that do not know, Andrade returned to the company at Number 4, followed by NXT's Carmelo Hayes, we saw various storylines from RAW and SmackDown resume here, Gunther entered at number eighteen, eliminating Kofi Kingston, Bron Breakker from NXT was very impressive here, looking forward to him debuting on the main roster soon. Damian Priest was entrant number twenty seven, he did not need to be in this match because he has the Money In The Bank case, a guaranteed title opportunity at any time.

The final two were Cody Rhodes and CM Punk, "The American Nightmare" eliminated "The Best in The World" to win the Rumble for the second year in a row, a decision that is met with disagreement on this website, the thought here is, a new winner should have been crowned, like Punk or Gunther, people online will just continue to talk about the story, when, truthfully, the book should have been thrown away after last year's WrestleMania.

2024 Royal Rumble | Predictions

Perhaps the greatest match stipulation and PLE in wrestling history, The Royal Rumble, will take place LIVE! from Tropicana Field in St Petersburg, Florida, this Saturday Night (Sunday morning here in the U.K)

At the time of writing, there are four matches on the card, if there are more added, they will be talked about during the review.

The Royal Rumble matches are always a lottery because you never know who will participate, this includes legends/hall of famers, we will not talk about any potential surprises/returns here because that will take away the fun of watching the event in all honesty, stay tuned for the review, let's get to the predictions, starting with the Women's Royal Rumble Match.

(Disclaimer: For both Rumble matches, two picks will be made, followed by the decision as to who the winner might be)

Women's Royal Rumble Match
Pick One: Bayley - There seems to be some differences in the ranks in Damage CTRL, it seems inevitable that Dakota Kai will be the leader very soon, the match between Bayley and Iyo is most likely for WrestleMania 40, which will add more fuel to the fire.

Pick Two: Becky Lynch - The Man failed to get revenge on Nia Jax after past events and will target winning the Rumble for the second time as a redemption arc, setting up a title match against Rhea Ripley at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Predicted Royal Rumble Winner: Bayley.

United States Championship
Logan Paul (c) vs. Kevin Owens
When the tournament to name a number one contender for the United States Championship was announced and Kevin Owens name was included, it was obvious he was winning it, in terms of his match against Logan? the thought is it will be decided due to someone helping the champion while the referee is distracted.

Winner: Logan Paul.

Men's Royal Rumble Match
Pick One: Cody Rhodes - Ever since Cody lost to Roman at WrestleMania last year, the narrative on TV and social media, has always been that he must "finish the story" other stories available to follow in the WWE but here we are, it is a possibility he could win back to back Rumbles.

Pick Two: CM Punk - Known as Pepsi to some, CM Punk has been one of the favourites to win since he returned to the company in November and has been linked with a World Heavyweight Championship Match against Seth Rollins, this will be subject to Punk winning and Rollins' injury status as time goes on.

Predicted Royal Rumble Winner: CM Punk.

Additional prediction.
NO clear winner of this year's Men's Royal Rumble Match, if Cody and Punk were eliminated at the exact same time.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. LA Knight
During this match, we will no doubt see close falls, interference from The Bloodline, basically shenanigans throughout and to be honest with you, when this was announced? the thought was LA Knight was going to take the losing the pin fall.

Winner: Roman Reigns.

Let's Talk About | SmackDown | New Year's Revolution

SmackDown was LIVE from Vancouver, Canada.

Kevin Owens defeated Santos Escobar in the Finals of the United States Championship Contender Tournament, he will take on Logan Paul at the Royal Rumble.

Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits were interrupted and attacked by the new faction of Karrion Kross, Scarlett and the returning Authors Of Pain, who are managed by Paul Ellering.

Let's see what name is given by the creative team, hopefully it isn't something like The Authors Of Tick-Tock. we probably will find out on the next episode.

Iyo Sky successfully defended the Women's Championship against Mia Yim.

The WiseMan, Paul Heyman responded to The Rock's comment from RAW about The Tribal Chief, The Head Of The Table, Roman Reigns, this was a class backstage promo.

Butch and NXT's Tyler Bate defeated Pretty Deadly, Bate has officially been called up to the Blue Brand.

It's going to be interesting to see what the future holds for Ashante Adonis, after his conversation with General Manager, Nick Aldis.

The triple threat match between AJ Styles, LA Knight and Randy Orton to decide the number one contender for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship was put to an end without a clear winner, thanks to The Bloodline's attacks on all three participants of the main event.

While Roman was celebrating, Nick Aldis informed Paul Heyman that the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship will be on the line at Royal Rumble, in a fatal four way match.

This was a solid show where storylines continue to progress, hopefully we will say the same about the new ones as time goes on.

Tick-Tock.

Let's Talk About | WWE RAW | Day One

Day One was LIVE from San Diego, California.

Wade Barrett and Michael Cole were in the ring to preview what will be happening over the next three hours.

Nia Jax made a statement by defeating Becky Lynch via pin fall. This was Five years in the making, we saw an excellent video package prior to the match, shoutout to both for a putting on a fantastic performance.

Cody Rhodes challenged Shinsuke Nakamura to a match, however, the offer was declined, this story has not finished yet.

Kofi Kingston and Jey Uso defeated Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci, via referee stoppage, due to Vinci suffering an unfortunate injury during the match.

The Judgment Day were the guests on Miz TV, however, before the faction could appear, R-Truth interrupted with more comedy gold. JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio stopped the conversations, which led to a tag team match, an Awesome Truth reunion and victory for Miz and Truth.

Rhea Ripley successfully defended the Women's World Championship against Ivy Nile.

A former WWE Champion was rumored to appear on this episode of RAW, there was the usual speculation on social media as to who it could be, the wait was over, it was Jinder Mahal, the crowds reaction was hilarious.
.
The Modern Day Maharaja was interrupted by The Great One, The People's Champion, The Rock!

This was your standard Rock segment, making fun of the other person in the ring and to be honest with you, these type of segments are very stale and boring, it's 2024 now, give us fans something original to watch, I will say, from a personal standpoint for Jinder, it must have been a great moment him to share the ring with Rock.

In the closing moments of the segment, Rock asked the crowd if he should sit at the booth, at the bar or at the head of the Table? which was met with loud cheers.

We can all acknowledge, they were interesting words, let's see how things play out over the next weeks and months.

Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler defeated Tegan Nox and Natalya.

The Day One main event was Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship, Damian Priest attempted to cash in, the plan was quickly stopped, Drew almost won after hitting the Claymore Kick, however, the champions foot was on the rope, Seth hit the pedigree on Drew, on the announce table, along with the Stomp to pick up the win, closing out a newsworthy show. .

Let's Talk About | Survivor Series WARGAMES

Welcome to the latest edition of Let's Talk About.

Today's topic of conversation is: Survivor Series WARGAMES.

There were a lot of rumours and speculation, particularly on social media in terms of returns, which is a standard thing in wrestling, before we get to that, let's talk about the matches.

Shoutout to everyone involved in the Women's WarGames, we saw the usual 'can they co-exist?' storyline, involving Charlotte and Becky, they look as though they have patched things up for now on TV and PLE's until they feud again, perhaps the best moment of the match was Iyo Sky jumping off the cage onto others with a trash can on her head, which was quite the spectacle, Damage CTRL losing this match could spell trouble for Bayley in the future.

Gunther, perhaps the Greatest Intercontinental Champion in history, successfully defended the title against future Hall of Famer, The Miz, in what was a very good match, looking forward to seeing what's next for these two guys.

Santos Escobar picked up a win against Dragon Lee, who continues to impress, Rey Mysterio is currently on the sidelines with an injury, in the meantime, this is an opportunity for Santos to go on a winning streak and solidify himself as a true heel before Rey returns.

Rhea Ripley is still Women's World Champion, defeating Zoey Stark, this was a very competitive match, despite this loss, Zoey needs to remain in the title picture, that's how good of a wrestler she is whereas it will be interesting to see who challenges Rhea, on an episode of RAW or at the Royal Rumble.

On the go home show episode of RAW, Cody Rhodes revealed the fifth member of the WarGames team was going to be Randy Orton, at Survivor Series, we didn't see "The Viper" until he interrupted Rhea's attempt in helping Damian Priest cash in the Money In The Bank for the World Heavyweight Championship, that was a very smart way of keeping us, the fans of guessing what was going to happen in the main event.

The WarGames match resumed Randy's story/history with the Bloodline as he reminded Jey that he did not forget past events, he went on to play a crucial part in helping the team win against Drew McIntyre and Judgment Day.

Now let's talk about what, you, the readers are here for, the return of the legendary R-Truth,  great to see him on TV.

The talk on social media ever since Survivor Series concluded, has been all about the return of one CM Punk, I'll be completely honest with you when I say I have never been a fan of his and never will be and that is alright, even when he was in the WWE all those years ago, they say you should separate the person you see on TV to the person in real life, which is true, however, in this situation, Punk himself struggles to do that himself, when he returned to the professional wrestling world elsewhere, I did not believe the hype, I knew he wouldn't be there for long, which proved to be correct, he loves to unnecessarily bring real life drama to in-ring promos and cause problems for his colleagues, hopefully history doesn't repeat itself in the WWE.

Triple H said it perfectly in a tweet: It's a Mighty cold day in hell.

WWE Champions Roll Call After Fastlane

Fastlane featured five matches, majority of them were for championships, admittedly, the LA Knight & John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso tag team match had a house show vibe to it at times, it was a bad night for the Judgment Day, as they lost the Tag Team Championship to Cody and Jey. does this mean Cody has finished the story? just kidding, shoutout to everyone competing at the show/premium live event, here is the last Champions Roll Call until after WrestleMania 40.
