Stomping Grounds | Thoughts

Hi and welcome back to this here blog. Here are the results of the matches, including my thoughts about Stomping Grounds.

Kick off show match
Cruiserweight Championship: Tony Nese (c) vs. Drew Gulak vs. Akira Tozawa
This was a really good match.
Winner: AND NEW Cruiserweight Champion: Drew Gulak.

Main Card
Raw Women's Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lacey Evans
The crowd did not like Evans. Chants of: "Lacey sucks" and "You can't wrestle" were heard here. They were fully behind the champion. Lynch won after Evans tapped out. Winner: AND STILL Raw women's champion: Becky Lynch.

The New Day's Big E and Xavier Woods vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn This was a decent tag match. There weren't any boring moments which was nice to see. Good to see the heels win here. Winners: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

United States Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Ricochet For my predictions, I said this was the best match on the card and it did not disappoint, I wouldn't mind seeing more matches between these two. The one and only hit the 630 splash for the win. Winner: AND NEW United States Champion! Ricochet!

SmackDown Tag Team Championship: Daniel Bryan & Rowan (c) vs. Heavy Machinery This was a fun match. Ending with Bryan rolling up Tucker for the win. Winners: AND STILL SmackDown Tag Team Champions. Daniel Bryan and Rowan.

SmackDown Women's Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Alexa Bliss The Champion retained the title after Nikki Cross cost Alexa the match (as predicted) Winner: AND STILL SmackDown Women's Champion. Bayley.

Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre
During the match, Shane hit the Coast to Coast on Roman. McIntyre failed to pick up the win as he covered Roman for the near fall. Towards the end of this match, Shane tried to intervene again but failed, as The Big Dog picked the win. Winner: Roman Reigns.

So..Shane can win a match vs Roman but Drew can't? Anyway. Let's move on to the next match shall we?

WWE Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler (Steel Cage Match) Kofi won after jumping over Dolph on to the floor. He then celebrated with Big E and Xavier Woods after the match. Winner: AND STILL WWE Champion. Kofi Kingston.

During a backstage interview. Shane announced he and Drew will face Roman in a 2 on 1 handicap match on RAW. You thought we were all done watching this storyline? Haha! Think again! Sorry...

Universal Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Baron Corbin Prior to the match, Corbin announced Lacey Evans as the special referee. The crowd sh*t all over this match, they chanted, "this is stupid" and other things.

Midway through, Evans changed the rules of the match to suit the challenger. She then slapped Rollins and hit a low blow. Becky ran out and went after the referee.

Back in the ring, there was a new referee and Rollins won via the Stomp. Winner: AND STILL Universal Champion. Seth Rollins. Becky and Seth celebrated in the ring and walked out together as Stomping Grounds went off the air.

This show was unnecessary, however, the first half was really good, the second? not so much. It declined towards the end. Extreme Rules is next month. Until then, thanks for reading.

Stomping Grounds | Predictions

Stomping Grounds is this Sunday night. (Monday here in the U.K.) here are my predictions for the matches.

Cruiserweight Championship: Tony Nese (c) vs. Drew Gulak vs. Akira Tozawa
It seems to be a reoccurring theme of me saying I don't watch 205 Live. I'll say no more for this match. Winner: AND STILL Cruiserweight Champion: Tony Nese.

The New Day vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn Woods and Big E don't need to win this match, whereas Owens and Zayn do. I'm picking the heels to win here. Winners: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship: Daniel Bryan & Rowan (c) vs. Heavy Machinery Winners: AND STILL SmackDown Tag Team Champions: Daniel Bryan and Rowan.

United States Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Ricochet This match for me is the best one on the card. I'm a fan of both wrestlers. It's too early for Joe to lose the title here. Ricochet is a place holder until Rey returns from injury. Winner: AND STILL United States Champion: Samoa Joe.

Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre McIntyre needs this win more than Reigns, which is why he's my pick to win here. Could Shane or Revival play a part in this? It's possible. Winner: Drew McIntyre.

SmackDown Women's Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Alexa Bliss Bayley will win after Nikki Cross accidentally costs Alexa the match. Winner: AND STILL SmackDown Women's Champion: Bayley.

Raw Women's Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lacey Evans It seems obvious that Becky is winning here. However, I'm picking Lacey to win after Charlotte somehow gets involved in this match and costs Lynch. Winner: AND NEW Raw Women's Champion: Lacey Evans.

WWE Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler (Steel Cage Match) Do I see Dolph  winning the title here? Yes. Do I think WWE will put the title on him? No. Winner: AND STILL WWE Champion: Kofi Kingston.

Universal Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Baron Corbin I've got two predictions here. Brock will be the special referee for this match and Rollins will somehow win and avoid the cash in from Lesnar from happening. Winner: AND STILL Universal Champion: Seth Rollins.

Predictions are done. (try to) enjoy the event if you're watching. Until the next one. Thanks for reading.

WWE Super Showdown 2019 | Thoughts

Here are my thoughts on Super Showdown. Let's begin.

Kick off show match
The Usos vs. The Revival
Winners: The Usos.

Main Card
Universal Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Baron Corbin
We started the main card with Seth Rollins defending his Universal Championship against Baron Corbin.
Rollins was injured prior to this match. He rolled up Corbin for the win. Winner: and STILL Universal Champion: Seth Rollins. After the match, Corbin hit Rollins with the End of Days.

Then, Brock's music hit for the cash in attempt. Rollins hit Lesnar with a low blow and hit the Beast with multiple chair shots and the Stomp. Note: the bell never rang so Brock still holds the briefcase.

Intercontinental Championship: Finn Balor (c) vs. Andrade
These guys put on a very good match. Andrade nearly had the title won via the Hammerlock DDT. But the champ kicked out and went on to win the match.
Winner: and STILL Intercontinental Champion: Finn Balor.

I want to see these two have more matches ending at Summerslam.

Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon Drew McIntyre was in Shane's corner and it proved to be important, as he hit Reigns with the Claymore while the referee was blindsided. Shane picked up the win. Winner: Shane McMahon.

Lars Sullivan vs. Lucha House Party This was not a good match at all. It was dull and boring. Winner: Lars Sullivan.

Triple H vs. Randy Orton
Old rivalries were renewed here, with The Viper picking up the win via the RKO. Winner: Randy Orton.

Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley "The monster among men" won with the running powerslam. Winner: Braun Strowman.

WWE Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler
Kofi won with Trouble in Paradise. Winner: and STILL WWE Champion: Kofi Kingston.

50-man Battle Royal
Winner: Mansoor.
The hometown hero as it were, won this match. This was a nice moment for him and the fans in attendance.

The Undertaker vs. Goldberg
The entrances were the best thing about this match as I said in the predictions. Not surprising though. Goldberg had a little bit of blood on his head en route to the ring.

The bleeding got worse during the match. This match had so many botches. It was victory for the Phenom. Winner: The Undertaker. After the match, Taker looked p*ssed off (am I allowed to swear on here? Oh well it's my own blog so it's all good)  It was sad to see two legends put on a terrible match. I guess the money was too good for them to turn down at their age. I'll tell you something, Taker and Goldberg are two of my favourites of all time, but I will be happy if neither one of them ever wrestled again. Again, this match was sad to see.

This was a glorified house show and it felt like it at times. It is now in the history books and one to easily forget about as well to be honest with you. Thanks for reading.

WWE Super Showdown 2019 | Predictions

Welcome back to the blog. Super Showdown is LIVE tomorrow and here are my predictions for the scheduled matches.

The Usos vs. The Revival (Kickoff Show) Not sure if I'll be watching this match. I'll catch it on WWE's YouTube channel. I pick Jimmy and Jey in this one. Winners: The Usos.

Lars Sullivan vs. Lucha House Party Winner: Lars Sullivan.

Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley Much like the match above, I have no interest in this one either. Winner: Braun Strowman.

50-man Battle Royal
I have no idea who is in this match. I'm going to pick two people here. Miz or AJ to win this match.

Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon Shane has been booked strongly as of late and building a team around him but I don't think he's winning here. Winner: Roman Reigns.

Triple H vs. Randy Orton
Winner: Triple H.

Intercontinental Championship: Finn Balor (c) vs. Andrade
Winner: Finn Balor.

WWE Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler
Very much looking to this one. I expect Kofi to win here in what should be an entertaining match. Winner: Kofi Kingston.

A lot of people are expecting Brock to cash in on Seth but I see WWE throwing a swerve by having him cashing in on Kofi and winning the WWE championship.

Universal Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Baron Corbin
To be honest with you Baron Corbin has been impressive in his matches lately. The champion wins here though. Winner: Seth Rollins.

The Undertaker vs. Goldberg
The entrances will be the best part of the match. I wouldn't be surprised if this is turned into a tag team match if the Revival or McIntyre and Elias get involved.

If it continues as a one on one match I pick the Phenom to win. Winner: The Undertaker.

That's it for the predictions. Thanks for reading.
