WWE Survivor Series 2020 | Review-ish

Survivor Series took place at the Amway Center, also known as The Thunderdome, this is the last WWE event to take place at the Center before the company relocates to the Tropicana Field in Orlando, Florida before the start of the new NBA season. It is now time to look back at the 34th Survivor Series. Here we go!

Kick off Show
The Miz won the Dual Brand Battle Royal, lastly eliminating Dominik Mysterio.

Main Card
Men's Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team RAW (AJ Styles, Keith Lee, Sheamus, Braun Strowman & Riddle) vs. Team SmackDown (Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, Baron Corbin, Seth Rollins & Otis)

Order of Elimination:
Seth Rollins by Sheamus
Kevin Owens by AJ Styles
Baron Corbin by Riddle
Otis by Braun Strowman
Jey Uso by Keith Lee

Winners: Team RAW. It will not mean anything in the long run but it was a clean sweep for the red team in this match. they were too good for the opposition. This will all be forgtten about quick!y so everyone involved here can move on to other storylines..

RAW Tag Team Champions. The New Day's Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions. The Street Profits
Tag Team wrestling at it's finest, both teams bought their A-Game to this match, they have great chemistry, in the predictions blog I wrote the SP needed to win this more than their opponents, which proved to be the case here. Winners: Street Profits.

United States Champion. Bobby Lashley vs. Intercontinental Champion. Sami Zayn

Lashley was accompanied to the ring by "The Hurt Business" where as Sami was on his own, the Intercontinental Champion tried shortcuts to win but that tactic proved to be unsuccessful. Winner: Bobby Lashley.

RAW Women's Champion. Asuka vs. SmackDown Women's Champion. Sasha Banks

If you have read any of the blogs in the past, you will know I'm a fan of both of these competitors so it's fun when they face other, the matches are always different. they have exchanged wins in the past but on this occasion, "The Boss" was victorious. Winner: Sasha Banks. In terms of who is next to challenge the champions? we know it's Carmella for Sasha whereas for Asuka, I would say Charlotte Flair when she is ready to return to TV or Rhea Ripley if she is called up to the main roster. Let's see what happens.

Women's Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team RAW (Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Lana, Lacey Evans & Peyton Royce) vs. Team SmackDown (Bianca Belair, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Bayley & Natalya)

Order of Elimination:
Bayley by Peyton Royce
Peyton Royce by Natalya
Natalya by Lacey Evans
Ruby Riott by Shayna Baszler
Lacey Evans by Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan by Nia Jax
Shayna Baszler by Disqualification
Nia Jax & Bianca Belair by Double Countout

Sole Survivor: Lana - Winners: Team RAW.

Lana being the sole survivor was predicted by many people including myse!f, how she was booked to win here by the writers is a strange move to make in all honesty. Much like the men's match, this will be forgotten about quickly as early as RAW tonight.

WWE Champion. Drew McIntyre vs. Universal Champion. Roman Reigns
This match was far better than I expected it to be, the first ten minutes were slow but business picked up from then on. Reigns put Drew through the announcement table, that explains why Lana wasn't put through the table in the match prior to this. Reigns then speared Drew through the barricade, the Scot attempted to fight back but his efforts were thwarted as "The Tribal Chief" put Drew to sleep via the guillotine. Winner: Roman Reigns.

The Undertaker's Final Farewell
Shane McMahon, Big Show, JBL, Jeff Hardy, Mick Foley, The GodFather, The Godwins, Savio Vega, Rikishi, Kevin Nash, Booker T, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Triple H & Kane were all in attendance. A tribute video for The Phenom was played, after the tribute, Mr. McMahon was in the ring on his own to talk about and introduce The Undertaker to the ring. 'Taker cut a promo and at the end he said "The time has come to let The Undertaker Rest in Peace" while he bowed down, we saw a cool hologram of the late great Paul Bearer. 'Taker's music hit after a ten bell salute, he walked out of the ring and up to the entrance way, stopped to raise his right hand as sounds of thunder and lightning were heard, he then walked away as Survivor Series went off the air.

I wasn't expecting much going into this event, I'll give it a 5/10 because it was a mixed bag in terms of match quality, the question is, has The Undertaker really retired? I would say no, because it's wrestling and very few stick by their retirement announcements. Stone Cold Steve Austin is an example of someone who has. In my opinion,, 'Taker isn't going to call it a day in a empty arena with virtual fans watching from their homes, I expect him to be on the card for the next show in Saudi Arabia. TLC is next on the WWE event calendar. Until then, thanks for reading.

WWE Survivor Series 2020 | Predictions

This Sunday not only marks the 34th edition of Survivor Series, it marks the 30th anniversary of The Undertaker's legendary career, I will talk about that towards the end of the predictions. Survivor Series continues the trend of most pay-per-views by having a tagline, which is: The Best of The Best.

Disclaimer: The views expressed about the upcoming Survivor Series event are my own. I mean no disrespect & no offence towards the WWE Superstars and the company itself.

Men's Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team RAW (AJ Styles, Keith Lee, Sheamus, Braun Strowman & Riddle) vs. Team SmackDown (Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, Baron Corbin, Seth Rollins & Otis)
There has been tension in the ranks of Team RAW with the members fighting over who the captain is, over on SmackDown, we have seen absolutely nothing for this match because everyone has been occupied with different storylines, unless your name is Baron Corbin, then you haven't really done anything. Predicted Winners: Team RAW.

Women's Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team RAW (Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Lana, Lacey Evans & Peyton Royce)
vs. Team SmackDown (Bianca Belair, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Bayley & Natalya)

Bayley & Natalya were added to the blue brands team on the SmackDown go home show, during the show we saw a future storyline brewing between Bayley & Bianca Belair, whereas on RAW, Nia has put Lana through the announce table nine weeks in a row. how do I see this one playing out? like this, Bayley hitting Bianca with one of her finish moves leading to Lana picking up the shock win, who will then be put through the table for the tenth time. Predicted Winners: Team RAW.

United States Champion. Bobby Lashley vs. Intercontinental Champion. Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn has been hyping this match on social media to try and add some importance to it, unfortunately he will be losing on Sunday. Predicted Winner: Bobby Lashley.

RAW Tag Team Champions. The New Day's Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods vs.  SmackDown Tag Team Champions. The Street Profits
There aren't many tag teams left on the rosters because WWE continue to split them up, it would've made perfect sense to make this one a title unification match, in terms of who will win this match? I pick the Street Profits because they need the win more than Kofi & Xavier. Predicted  Winners: Street Profits.

RAW Women's Champion. Asuka vs. SmackDown Women's Champion. Sasha Banks
The matches in the past between these two competitors have been excellent, I expect this one to follow suit, a candidate for match of the night for sure. Sasha has been targeted by Carmella on SmackDown in recent weeks, that story will gain momentum after Sunday. On that note, here is my pick. Predicted Winner: Asuka

WWE Champion. Drew McIntyre vs. Universal Champion. Roman Reigns
Drew won the title for the second time from Randy Orton surprisingly, because it's very rare that new champions are crowned on RAW. In terms of the outcome of this match, no one should lose at all. it should be saved for a different time and event but it is what it is. I expect "The Viper" to get involved resulting in Roman picking up the win. Predicted Winner: Roman Reigns. After the match, there will probably be a Money in the Bank cash in attempt by The Miz, as it will be ten years since he cashed in to win his first WWE Championship. Whether he will be successful here remains to be seen.

It doesn't really matter which team wins overall on Sunday because most people have only been on the shows they are representing for a month or so since the draft.

WWE has billed Survivor Series as the Undertaker's Final Farewell. They will bring in legends to join in the celebrations. I have no doubt that someone will interrupt the segment and attack him, the names I'm thinking of are "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt, Aleister Black or Karrion Kross, leading to a match at WrestleMania. In terms of factions getting involved? I would say RETRIBUTION. This would be a perfect way for them to put others on the RAW roster on notice.

Predictions are now complete, Survivor Series feels like a nothing show, hopefully it will be good one to watch. Hope you enjoyed the read. What are your predictions? let me know your thoughts. I'll be back with the review-ish on Monday. Until then, thanks for reading.
