Hell in a Cell 2022 | Review-ish

Welcome back to the blog, if there are any new readers? please note that the review-ish does not have any play-by-plays, these are my instant thoughts about the matches and the event itself, without any further ado, let's begin. Enjoy the read, in the words of Chad Gable, A Thank Yewwwwww!

The Premium Live Event began with an outstanding triple threat match for the RAW Women's Championship, Bianca threw Becky out of the ring and pinned Asuka for the win to remain champion. Becky looked shocked, Bianca did what she had to do to get the win, Asuka showed glimpses of her NXT days. I will not predict who will challenge the EST next, all I will say is Judgement Day is around the corner.

Bobby Lashley won the 2 vs. 1 Handicap Match against Omos and MVP, Lashley made MVP tap out via the HurtLock, let's see if this storyline continues tonight on RAW.

Kevin Owens defeated Ezekiel in what was a decent match, K.O has always said Ezekiel was Elias, perhaps the next chapter of this story is to have Elias somehow show up and stand alongside Ezekiel to further confuse Owens if that makes sense.

Judgement Day's Edge speared Finn Balor to win the mixed six person tag for his faction, there has been plenty of speculation as to who will be the next person to join, the prediction is Balor, he is a great heel (am I allowed to say that term?) we saw him in that role in the latter stages of NXT Black and Gold.

The Main Event was of course, a Hell a in a Cell match,  Seth Rollins, walked out wearing Polka Dots, a nice heel move to get a reaction from the Chicago crowd, who were fantastic throughout the event, respect to them for that, Cody then made his way to the ring, there were rumours prior to the event he was injured, we did not know the extent of the injuries until Cody did the reveal, I will not talk about it, you can probably see images on social media, they really bought out all the bells and whistles here to keep the crowd invested, myself included watching on tv, to see what happened next, eventually Cody hit Cross Rhodes on Rollins for the win.

This truly was a fantastic main event, great respect to Cody and Seth here for their performances, Cody is now undefeated. 3-0 against Rollins,  my apologies to Cody for suggesting his return to the company has been stale, it's all about opinions at the end of the day right?  This was his best match of his WWE career so far in terms of singles competition, however I need to see this kind of performance on a consistent basis, match after match, in order to acknowledge him as a genuine title contender.

The American Nightmare looks set to be out of action for many months, perhaps there will be an announcement on RAW tonight.

See you next time for Money in the Bank.

WrestleMania Backlash | Review-ish

After a month removed from WrestleMania, the content continues for you readers of the blog, apologies for not posting any predictions for Backlash, it is what it is and here we are with the review-ish.

Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins began the show, the two put on a fantastic match, not surprising really because they are two quality wrestlers, am I allowed to call them that? should I call them sports entertainers instead? anyway, Cody picked up the win by rolling up Rollins, that's not an easy sentence to say.

It's probably an unpopular question, but I'll ask it anyway, without expecting any answers, is the novelty of Cody's return to the company already getting old? his entrance and theme music is great but it feels like it's becoming stale already. Hell in a Cell is the next Premium Live Event, they may run this one back one more time, we shall see about that.

The second match of the night saw Omos defeat Bobby Lashley, this one felt like a TV match you would see on an episode of Monday Night RAW. MVP was the deciding factor here as he cost Lashley by striking him with his walking stick while the referee was distracted.

The WrestleMania rematches continued, this time with Edge taking on AJ Styles, with the added stipulation of Damian Priest being banned from ringside, who actually did make an appearance by distracting Styles, Finn Balor also appeared, trying to even things up, while that was going on, a masked person hit AJ, allowing Edge to put on a submission hold for victory, the masked person was revealed to be Rhea Ripley, someone who myself, along with many other content creators and fans predicted would join Edge and Damian Priest as part of the Judgement Day faction.

Did you know Judgement Day used to be a Premium Live Event? you learn something new everyday.

Ronda Rousey is your NEW SmackDown Women's Champion, after Charlotte said the words "I quit" this match, along with Cody vs. Seth and Edge vs. AJ Styles was better than the one at WrestleMania, later on it was revealed Charlotte was "injured" it looks as though she will be written off from TV for a while.

MadCap Moss defeated Happy Corbin in the co-main event of the evening, this looks to be end of the rivalry, finally. unless they run this one back this Friday Night on SmackDown.

Roman Reigns and The Usos were victorious against Drew McIntyre and RK-Bro, after Roman speared Riddle for the pinfall victory, an outstanding main event, which was criticised by many, who had expected this to be a winner take all contest, people just love to complain about anything these days.

Thanks for reading. Stay tuned for more content, available soon.
