Let's Talk About | Survivor Series WARGAMES

Welcome to the latest edition of Let's Talk About.

Today's topic of conversation is: Survivor Series WARGAMES.

There were a lot of rumours and speculation, particularly on social media in terms of returns, which is a standard thing in wrestling, before we get to that, let's talk about the matches.

Shoutout to everyone involved in the Women's WarGames, we saw the usual 'can they co-exist?' storyline, involving Charlotte and Becky, they look as though they have patched things up for now on TV and PLE's until they feud again, perhaps the best moment of the match was Iyo Sky jumping off the cage onto others with a trash can on her head, which was quite the spectacle, Damage CTRL losing this match could spell trouble for Bayley in the future.

Gunther, perhaps the Greatest Intercontinental Champion in history, successfully defended the title against future Hall of Famer, The Miz, in what was a very good match, looking forward to seeing what's next for these two guys.

Santos Escobar picked up a win against Dragon Lee, who continues to impress, Rey Mysterio is currently on the sidelines with an injury, in the meantime, this is an opportunity for Santos to go on a winning streak and solidify himself as a true heel before Rey returns.

Rhea Ripley is still Women's World Champion, defeating Zoey Stark, this was a very competitive match, despite this loss, Zoey needs to remain in the title picture, that's how good of a wrestler she is whereas it will be interesting to see who challenges Rhea, on an episode of RAW or at the Royal Rumble.

On the go home show episode of RAW, Cody Rhodes revealed the fifth member of the WarGames team was going to be Randy Orton, at Survivor Series, we didn't see "The Viper" until he interrupted Rhea's attempt in helping Damian Priest cash in the Money In The Bank for the World Heavyweight Championship, that was a very smart way of keeping us, the fans of guessing what was going to happen in the main event.

The WarGames match resumed Randy's story/history with the Bloodline as he reminded Jey that he did not forget past events, he went on to play a crucial part in helping the team win against Drew McIntyre and Judgment Day.

Now let's talk about what, you, the readers are here for, the return of the legendary R-Truth,  great to see him on TV.

The talk on social media ever since Survivor Series concluded, has been all about the return of one CM Punk, I'll be completely honest with you when I say I have never been a fan of his and never will be and that is alright, even when he was in the WWE all those years ago, they say you should separate the person you see on TV to the person in real life, which is true, however, in this situation, Punk himself struggles to do that himself, when he returned to the professional wrestling world elsewhere, I did not believe the hype, I knew he wouldn't be there for long, which proved to be correct, he loves to unnecessarily bring real life drama to in-ring promos and cause problems for his colleagues, hopefully history doesn't repeat itself in the WWE.

Triple H said it perfectly in a tweet: It's a Mighty cold day in hell.

WWE SmackDown Before Money In The Bank

Let me talk to ya.

SmackDown was LIVE from the O2 Arena, in London here in England, the show was part one of a great couple of nights of World Wrestling Entertainment. Let's have a look at the key moments.

Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens defeated Pretty Deadly to remain Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.

Backstage, Adam Pearce talked to The Brawling Brutes and announced Ridge Holland would take on the United States Champion, Austin Theory, in a Championship Contenders Match.

Austin Theory defeated Ridge Holland.

After the match, Theory attacked Holland, until Sheamus ran down to make the save, later on it was announced we will see Austin Theory against Sheamus next week on SmackDown for the United States Championship. LIVE from Madison Square Garden. AJ Styles vs. Karrion Kross is also scheduled.

We saw an amazing Bloodline montage, telling us all a story of when it all began until where we are now.

Bayley defeated Shotzi to remain in contention for the Women's Money In The Bank briefcase, the crowd sang "Hey Bayley" during this match, which was great to hear.

Backstage, Bayley and Iyo beat up Shotzi, cut her hair before walking away.

Logan Paul was the special guest for the Grayson Waller Effett segment, he was interrupted by LA Knight, the two exchanged words until Santos Escobar hit the ring to make his claim as to why he is going to win the Money In the Bank contract, Butch ran in and a fight ensued.

Butch defeated Santos Escobar and LA Knight in a triple threat match, a great win for Butch in his home country.

Bianca Belair had a ticket and sat with the fans to watch Asuka vs. Charlotte for the Women's Championship, the EST eventually got involved, resulting in the match ending in a DQ win for Asuka. Bianca hit KOD's on Asuka and Charlotte on the announce table, sending a message she is not to be messed with.

In the main event segment, the much anticipated Bloodline segment began with Solo Sikoa, Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns walking to the ring, Roman was wearing a shirt with 'The Only One' written on it, which is sure to bring in a lot of money for the company in merchandise sales.

Roman wanted Jimmy and Jey to apologise for their actions, which never materialised, The Uso's talked about the last time Roman lost a match, which was three years ago and suggested Solo be Tribal Chief, which was met with "Solo" chants, Solo looked at Roman, who was laughing at that thought, perhaps that was a prelude for the future, eventually, the Civil War broke out, leading to a brawl, what a way to close out the Money In The Bank go home show.

Thank you for reading, stay tuned for more content, in the meantime, be sure to check out the archives on this website.

YEAH!

Monday Night RAW | 2023 WWE Draft | Night Two

Welcome back to the blog for the recap of night two of the WWE Draft, LIVE from Fort Worth Texas, The Game, Triple H once again went through the ground rules before announcing the round one picks.

Round One Draft Picks
SmackDown Women's Champion - Rhea Ripley - RAW
United States Champion - Austin Theory - SmackDown
Seth Rollins - RAW
Charlotte Flair - SmackDown

Looking at the draft picks above, Rhea and Bianca will indeed be swapping titles, Austin Theory going to SmackDown was always on the cards considering Gunther was drafted to RAW, Seth Rollins, an opponent that Roman Reigns has never defeated,
will be one of the favourites to capture the World Heavyweight Championship. Charlotte being on the same brand as Bianca is interesting as the EST has previously defeated Bayley, Becky Lynch and the artist formerly known as Sasha Banks, only the Queen remains to complete the set.

Round Two Draft Picks - announced by Booker T & Sharmell
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions - Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn - RAW
The Usos - SmackDown
Judgement Day - RAW
Latino World Order - SmackDown

Kevin and Sami were drafted to RAW as predicted, The Usos were drafted to SmackDown, however, this may change in the future and we see Jimmy and Jey go to Mondays in order to reclaim the tag team championships, as a task set by Roman, meanwhile, Damian Priest, Finn Balor & Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley remain together as a faction, likewise the Latino World Order.

Round Three Draft Picks - announced by Shawn Michaels
Women's Tag Team Champions - Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez - RAW
Asuka - SmackDown
Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods - RAW
Sheamus, Ridge Holland & Pete Dunne - SmackDown

Liv and Raquel drafted to RAW means the men's and women's tag team champions are on the same brand, great to see Asuka get drafted to SmackDown, hopefully she will challenge Bianca again, Kofi and Xavier could be reunited with Big E in the future when he returns and The Brawling Brutes will remain on Friday Nights...Fella!

Round Four Draft Picks - announced by Eric Bischoff & Rob Van Dam
Trish Stratus - RAW
Karrion Kross & Scarlett - SmackDown
Shayna Baszler & Ronda Rousey - RAW
LA Knight - SmackDown

Trish will resume her rivalry with Becky, Karrion Kross and Scarlett will remain on SmackDown. let's see which obstacle they target, tick tock! Shayna and Ronda won the Women's WrestleMania showcase which technically makes them number one contenders for the tag titles. let me talk to ya, SmackDown is still LA Knight's game and that's a fact of life. YEAH!

Round Five Draft Picks - announced by Molly Holly & Road Dogg
Braun Strowman & Ricochet - RAW
Shotzi - SmackDown
Bronson Reed - RAW
Pretty Deadly - SmackDown

Braun and Ricochet will look to build their tag team chemistry on Monday Night's, Shotzi is exclusive to SmackDown, Bronson being drafted to RAW potentially rules him out of winning the triple threat match for the United States Championship at Backlash in Puerto Rico. The NXT call ups continued with a Pretty Deadly pick.

Round Six Draft Picks - announced by JBL & Teddy Long
Otis & Chad Gable - RAW
Rick Boogs - SmackDown
Katana Chance & Kayden Chance - RAW
Cameron Grimes - SmackDown

Shoosh Please! Alpha Academy remain on Monday's with Maxine Dupree, Rick Boogs will have a great opportunity to make a name for himself on SmackDown, Katana and Kayden will be challenging Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships on NXT before they head to the main roster, while Cameron will attempt to take SmackDown to the moon.

The following picks were announced by Jackie Redmond and Matt Camp on RAW Talk.

Round One
Dana Brooke, Nikki Cross, Johnny Gargano - RAW
Tamina - SmackDown

Round Two
Angel Garza, Humberto, Akira Tozawa, Piper Niven, Xia Li, Tegan Nox, Emma & Riddick Moss - RAW

Round Three - NXT call ups
Indus Sher (Jinder Mahal, Sanga & Veer Mahaan) - RAW
Odessey Jones - RAW
Grayson Waller - SmackDown

The Free Agents are: Elias, Brock Lesnar, Omos, Von Wagner, Mustafa Ali, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, Cedric Alexander, Shelton Benjamin, Apollo Crews & Xyon Quinn, the names mentioned have the opportunity to appear on both shows.

The draft is now complete, the new rosters will take effect from May 8th after Backlash, it will be interesting to see if there will be any trades or wildcard rules in the next weeks or months, the prediction is the Brand Split will last until SummerSlam or Survivor Series.

Friday Night SmackDown | 2023 WWE Draft | Night One

It's time to shake things up again, it's draft time! Night One took place on Friday Night SmackDown. Triple H began proceedings by going through the rules, also mentioning NXT superstars were eligible. The Game announced the first round..

The Round One Draft Picks
Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa with Paul Heyman SmackDown
Cody Rhodes - RAW
RAW Women's Champion - Bianca Belair - SmackDown
Becky Lynch - RAW

Roman and Cody being drafted number one for their respective brands is a good thing, as that will hopefully quieten down the people who are still talking about the story not being finished between the two, which may have to wait until WrestleMania 40. Bianca being drafted to Friday nights means Rhea will be going to Monday nights, with the titles being swapped, similar to what we saw between Charlotte and Becky last time, speaking of Becky, she remains on RAW. The Man will look to get revenge on the legendary Trish Stratus.

Round Two Draft Picks - announced by Rob Van Dam & Michael Hayes
The Street Profits - SmackDown
Imperium - RAW
Edge - SmackDown
Matt Riddle - RAW

Like Bianca, the Street Profits return to Friday nights, meaning the rumoured split between Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins is on hold, Imperium will be making the move to RAW including the Intercontinental Championship, currently held by Gunther, logic states Austin Theory will be moving to SmackDown on Night Two of the draft, on this day, I see clearly, Edge is on the blue brand, let's see what is in store for the Hall of Famer. Matt Riddle remains on RAW.

Round Three Draft Picks - announced by JBL & Teddy Long
Bobby Lashley  SmackDown
Drew McIntyre - RAW
The OC - SmackDown
The Miz - RAW

SmackDown has, excuse the pun, an almighty pick, Bobby Lashley will set his sights on Roman Reigns in the future, Drew McIntyre will target a fresh start on RAW in a bid to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, The OC were drafted to SmackDown, it was phenomenal to see the return of AJ Styles, the group look set to feud with the Viking Raiders. Miz staying on Monday Nights is......Awesome!

Round Four Draft Picks - announced by Shawn Michaels & Road Dogg Jesse James
Damage CTRL - SmackDown
Shinsuke Nakamura - RAW
Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn - SmackDown
Indi Hartwell - RAW

Damage CTRL were drafted to SmackDown as a collective, Bayley being on the same brand as Michael Cole will bring back hilarious memories and moments of the jokes and banter they shared during the pandemic era, Shinsuke Nakamura will be going to RAW, a match in between him and Gunther will be fantastic to see, if it were to happen, but first he must deal with Karrion Kross on SmackDown next week. Tick-Tock.

Congratulations to the NXT Women's Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn and NXT Women's Champion Indi Hartwell for their main roster call ups.

More draft picks will be announced on SmackDown LowDown and via WWE's social media, the content on this website will resume with night two of the draft on Monday Night RAW.

Let's Talk About | Cody Rhodes

Welcome back to the blog, if you are new? then hello and welcome.

This is a brand new series called Let's Talk About. It is only fitting we talk about The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes, he was the first person to return from AEW to WWE, at last year's WrestleMania (38) everyone knew he would be Seth Rollins opponent, the pomp and circumstance was fantastic to see though.

Cody suffered a legitimate injury prior to facing Seth at Hell in a Cell and the reveal of said injury only added to the drama and intrigue of the match that he went on to win.

When he was written off TV on the following episode of Monday Night RAW and the training montages were shown, it was obvious he was going to win the 2023 Royal Rumble match.

A lot of fans on social media were constantly suggesting he should be the guy to end Roman's reign at this year's WrestleMania to send a message to AEW, there were so many narratives, that is where the tide turned for me, no disrespect to Cody as a person, I ACKNOWLEDGE that I wanted his character to lose to Roman Reigns and to see the reactions online, which, by the way, were very entertaining.

SummerSlam is way too early for a rematch, he is not ready to challenge The Tribal Chief at that prestigious event.

In order for Cody to be viewed as a genuine contender for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, he must face names such as: Brock Lesnar, Austin Theory, Gunther and perhaps win a United States or Intercontinental Championship along the way, including the Elimination Chamber next year to earn an opportunity for the top title, someone else should win the Rumble in 2024.

If this happens? WrestleMania 40 would be a great place to complete his journey, before he loses the titles to either LA Knight, Seth Rollins or someone else, after they successfully cash in their Money In The Bank Contract, resulting in a heel turn for Cody and him blaming the fans that supported him, in true wrestling storyline fashion.

Let's see how this STORY plays out.

Thank you for reading. Be sure to check out the archives on this website.

WWE RAW Before WrestleMania

Welcome back to the blog, this is WrestleMania week, there is so much excitement and anticipation around in the run up to the Grandest Stage Of Them All. Let's take a look at the events that took place on the go home show LIVE from Phoenix, Arizona.

We began with the Miz TV segment, the special guests were Women's Tag Team Champions Becky Lynch and Hall of Famer Lita and fellow Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, they were joined in the ring by Bayley, Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky to exchange words, Becky was great in this segment, she cut an outstanding promo which led to her defeating Iyo minutes later.

There was a video package about Asuka's career starting from NXT to this day on the main roster, including the thoughts of current superstars and Hall of Famers, there was a similar version for Bianca Belair later on in the show ahead of their RAW Women's Championship Match, who are currently scheduled for night one, subject to change of course.

Seth Rollins backstage interview was interrupted by Mustafa Ali, this was a set up to their match, the crowd sang Seth's song, which is always awesome to hear, he went on to defeat Mustafa surprisingly quickly.

Adam Pearce put Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green against Mia Yim and Candice LeRae to decide who got the last spot in the Women's Showcase Match.

The weigh-in between Omos and Brock Lesnar ended abruptly, these segments never go to plan, a lot of people have been criticising why this is even happening at WrestleMania, the belief on this blog is this is an opportunity for Omos to prove the doubters wrong and see how good he is, hopefully they will change their views.

We saw another video package, this time it was about Charlotte Flair which shifted to Rhea Ripley's backstage interview with Byron Saxton.

The Street Profits & Braun Strowman & Ricochet defeated Viking Raiders & Alpha Academy, a preview to the Men's Showcase.

Finn Balor responded to Edge's vignette prior to Hell in a Cell, it will be the Rated R Superstar versus The Demon. Cody Rhodes spoke to Cathy Kelley prior to the main event against Solo Sikoa.

The Bloodline's parody of The Goodfellas was incredible, check it out on YouTube if you haven't already along with the others.

The United States Champion Austin Theory cut a promo in an empty arena, saying he doesn't do this for the fans, or Cena, he does it for himself. Theory more or less guaranteed a victory on Saturday, this was eerie to watch as it brought back memories of the Performance Center Era.

Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green defeated Mia Yim & Candice LeRae to qualify for the Women's Showcase to face Liv Morgan & Raquel Gonzalez, Natalya & Shotzi and Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler.

Paul Heyman responded to Cody Rhodes by suggesting The American Nightmare wasn't ready for this show's main event or Sunday Night.

Dominik Mysterio spoke about Rey finally snapping and accepting the challenge on Friday Night SmackDown. Rey versus Damian Priest ended in disqualification, Legado Del Fantasma ran down to save Rey.

There were more packages than Amazon on this show, this time about the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, including a segment involving some of the participants such as: Elias, Rick Boogs and Bobby Lashley.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn talked about possibly winning the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships and ending The Usos reign.

The Intercontinental Champion Gunther defeated Dolph Ziggler.

It was time for the talking to stop on this particular occasion as Cody Rhodes took on Solo Sikoa. The Usos attempted to help Solo, however, they were chased off by Kevin and Sami moments later, Cody countered Solo's Samoan Spike with the Cross Rhodes to pick the win and continue his momentum as he looks to finish the story at WrestleMania.

That is it for the RAW before WrestleMania, there was a lot to unpack here, hope you enjoyed the read, very much looking forward to seeing who wins the Battle Royal and what happens between Cody and Roman before Sunday on SmackDown and more.

The content will continue after WrestleMania with a Champions Roll Call, be sure to check that out as well as the archives on this website.

WWE SmackDown | Did Rey Accept Dominik's Challenge?

Welcome back to the blog, the penultimate episode of SmackDown was LIVE from Las Vegas, Nevada. Cody Rhodes defeated Ludwig Kaiser in the opening match. Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa watched on nearby, afterwards, Heyman said Cody will face Solo this Monday Night and Roman will be on SmackDown next Friday.

Wade Barrett and Michael Cole announced John Cena vs. Austin Theory will kick off WrestleMania Saturday.

Charlotte Flair responded to Rhea Ripley's promo from RAW.

LA Knight defeated Rey Mysterio (YEAH!) thanks to Dominik,
The Mysterio family were sat ringside, Dominik disrespected his mum and sister, Rey heard enough and hit Dominik, the crowd reaction was fantastic, Rey accepted the challenge.

Natalya and Shotzi defeated Lacey Evans and Xia Li to qualify for the Women's Showcase Match. Shayna Baszler announced she and Ronda Rousey will be included in the Showcase as well, the final spot will be decided next week.

Rey vs. Dominik was officially announced for WrestleMania.

The contracts were signed by Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and the champion Gunther, for the triple threat Intercontinental Championship Match. Gunther talked about winning before he was attacked by Butch before the commercial break.

Gunther defeated Butch, he and Sheamus looked at the WrestleMania sign, Drew hit Gunther with the Claymore and confronted Sheamus.

The Street Profits exchanged words with Braun Strowman and Ricochet.

Sami Zayn was Kevin Owens' guest on the KO sbow. Kevin called Sami the MVP of the past twelve months and presented him with a new shirt with WrestleZania on it. The Usos hit the ring and attacked Kevin and Sami and hit Sami with the One and Done before exiting the ring, thus sending a message to the longtime friends.

This episode absolutely flew by, very good from start to finish.

Thank you for reading, the content continues for the RAW go home show, which will be available on Tuesday.

WWE RAW Review-ish | We Are Just Under Two Weeks Away From WrestleMania!

Welcome back to the blog, if you are new then hello and welcome. as the title above says, we are just under two weeks away from WrestleMania, the countdown continues.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn started off Monday Night RAW, the crowd cheered and chanted for both guys, they talked about their history until this day and looked at the WrestleMania sign which led to the Usos music hitting, Kevin challenged Jimmy and Jey to put the titles on the line, Jimmy said no at first, however,
Jey accepted, the two teams were fighting until Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa arrived in the arena.

The United States Champion Austin Theory defeated Montez Ford. Theory cut a promo to hype up his match against John Cena.

During the Bloodline segment backstage, Roman told Jey to stay with him while the others left the room, the champion questioned his cousin's loyalty, Jey played down those thoughts before walking away. Paul Heyman asked Roman if he got the answers he was looking for, Roman said yes, however, he looked unsure despite saying that.

Omos defeated Mustafa Ali in a quick match.

Impaulsive TV was next, Logan Paul was great here, he always knows how to get a reaction from the crowd, Seth Rollins was in the control room and cut off the microphone, he played his own music before making his way to the ring, the two brawled until the officials intervened, Logan struck Seth with a right hand before getting away, it is almost guaranteed they will provide us with a WrestleMania Moment when they meet again.

The Men's WrestleMania Showcase Match was announced. Braun Strowman & Ricochet vs. The Viking Raiders vs. The Street Profits vs. Otis & Chad Gable.

Dominik Mysterio defeated Johnny Gargano, Dom said he will be heading to SmackDown this Friday to get his father, Rey, to accept his challenge.

Paul Heyman sent Jimmy and Jey to the private jet, while Solo Sikoa was told to stay in the Bloodline's room. Edge talked about his upcoming Hell in a Cell match against Finn Balor, hopefully we will see another Brood entrance from Edge and a purple version of The Demon from Balor.

The 2023 Women's Royal Rumble Winner Rhea Ripley talked about her SmackDown Women's Championship opportunity against Charlotte Flair, she was interrupted by Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky and Bayley, this led to a match between Rhea and Bayley, Becky, Lita and Trish joined in to watch from ringside. Rhea went on to win here.

Ricochet defeated Chad Gable via a Shooting Star Press.

The Usos vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships was finally made official.

Bianca Belair & Asuka defeated Piper Niven and Chelsea Green, after Bianca hit the KOD on Niven, we all know how strong Bianca is, this was another example. Asuka attacked Bianca and put the EST on notice prior to WrestleMania.

Roman and Cody continued the build to Sunday April 2nd. Roman talked about Cody's past in and away from the WWE. Cody fired back by saying Roman will lose the titles and the Bloodline will break up as a result, leaving Roman his own again. Roman heard enough and walked away with Paul Heyman. Cody verbally provoked Solo Sikoa and hit him, Roman stopped Solo from responding as RAW went off the air, promo battle wise, Roman and Cody are now level at one round apiece.

Thanks for reading, the SmackDown review-ish will be available on Saturday.

Raquel Rodriguez was eliminated by Carmella and Asuka via a double pinfall.

The Winner of this match was Asuka, lastly eliminating Carmella.

Asuka will face the current RAW Women's Champion. Bianca Belair at WrestleMania, is the EST ready for the number one contender? we will all find out in April. Salutes to everyone involved in this match, great performances by all. One hundred percent.

Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar
If you have been watching Brock Lesnar's matches over a period of time, you will know they are usually quick contests, this followed the same path and led to a DQ win for Bobby Lashley after Brock hit him with a low blow whilst attempting to escape the Hurt Lock.

Brock hit the referee, Chad Patton, with an F5, likewise to Bobby, followed by F5's on and through the announce table. This was chaos and carnage, we did not see Bray Wyatt here, who issued a challenge to Bobby and Brock on the SmackDown go home show, let's see what happens next with that story.

Mixed Tag Team Match
Edge & Beth Phoenix vs. Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley
This was a battle of the Alter Bridge theme songs, the crowd taunted Dominik, who distracted Beth and ran to the back, he walked back out and was met with boo's, we saw many move sequences in and and outside the ring, Edge & Beth hit the Shatter Machine on Finn Balor for the win, this was a great match and a measure of revenge for the "Grit Couple"

United States Championship Elimination Chamber Match
Austin Theory (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Bronson Reed vs. Damian Priest vs. Montez Ford
Johnny Gargano and Seth Rollins started off this match in the ring.

Order of Elimination.
Bronson Reed was eliminated by Montez Ford
Johnny Gargano was eliminated by Damian Priest
Damian Priest was eliminated by Montez Ford
Montez Ford was eliminated by Austin Theory

Austin Theory lastly eliminated by Seth Rollins to remain the United States Champion with help from Logan Paul.

In this match we saw the elevation of everyone's character and future storylines, they raised their levels here, very much looking forward to seeing what is in store in the next couple of months in terms of the setup for WrestleMania matches.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Sami Zayn
Roman was booed and Sami cheered while they made their respective ring walks, shoutout to Samantha Irvin for her great ring announcing here and throughout the show as usual, this was an even contest with many near falls, as expected, Jimmy Uso made an appearance while the referee was knocked down to the floor, another one suffered the same fate minutes later, Roman and and Sami exchanged Superman Punches.

Paul Heyman gave Roman a steel chair, Jey appeared in the ring, Roman handed Jey the chair, there was a moment were Jey was about to pull the trigger and hit Roman, he pushed Jey, Sami speared Jey inadvertently, Sami was hit with multiple chair shots, Roman speared Sami for the win and to remain Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Jimmy beatdown Sami after the match, Kevin Owens' music hit, he went on to stun Roman and Jimmy Uso, he put Jimmy through the table with a Pop-up Powerbomb, he then stunned Paul Heyman, Sami hit Roman with a Helluva Kick, the crowd sang along to his theme as Sami looked on in disappointment, this was a hell of a match and one hell of a night.

Elimination Chamber 2023 | Predictions

Welcome back to the blog, Elimination Chamber will be LIVE from Montreal Quebec, Canada. A location that is famous in professional wrestling history. Let's take a look at the current match card and predict the winners.

Disclaimer: These predictions were written prior to SmackDown, if more matches are announced, they will be talked about in the review-ish.

Mixed Tag Team Match
Edge & Beth Phoenix vs. Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley
This match has been on the cards for quite a while, Edge and Beth will want to get revenge on Judgement Day members Finn and Rhea from recent events. Damian Priest may not be ringside for this one as he will be competing for the United States Championship, whereas Dominik Mysterio could attempt a distraction to help his team win. Predicted Winners? Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley.

Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar
Likewise to the match above, the storyline continues, Bobby was close to winning the US Title on RAW is Thirty until Brock returned to cost him the match, this is a difficult one to call, both competitors are capable of winning, we could see the reunion of the Hurt Business here with the inclusion of Omos. Predicted Winner? Bobby Lashley.

We will now go through a process of elimination, excuse the pun, and talk about each participant in order to decide the winner of the two respective Chamber matches.

United States Championship Elimination Chamber Match
Austin Theory (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Bronson Reed vs. Damian Priest vs. Montez Ford
Seth was eliminated by Logan Paul at the Royal Rumble, they look set to face each other at WrestleMania so that rules him out here. the thought is Gargano eliminates Priest or vice versa, leading towards a one on one match on the next episode of RAW, standard logical booking for you.

I've been watching Bronson Reed since his NXT days, it is great to see him in the company once again, hoping to see him put on a monster performance so people take note of how good he is. There has been a lot of talk from fans about Montez being a singles competitor, Tez and Theory may be the final two left in the Chamber. Predicted Winner? and STILL United States Champion. Austin Theory.

Elimination Chamber Match for a RAW Women's Championship Opportunity at WrestleMania
Asuka vs. Liv Morgan vs. Nikki Cross vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Natalya vs. Carmella
In terms of who starts off the match? the choices are Raquel and Carmella, both will make it far and get taken out by the eventual winner, Nikki is going to cause chaos, Natalya is in her home country, expect the fans to cheer her on, with her eliminating one or two participants along the way, Liv made it to the final two of the Women's Rumble, that may be the situation here also. Predicted Winner? Asuka.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Sami Zayn
The Royal Rumble was mentioned a lot during these predictions and rightfully so, The Bloodline & Sami Zayn story reached new levels, it feels like the fire has since cooled after we saw Cody speaking to Paul Heyman on Monday Night RAW, while it was a great segment, it would've made more sense to wait till after this Saturday's event.

Sami will bring the fight to Roman, ultimately falling to The Tribal Chief, after Solo Sikoa, Jimmy and Jey Uso play an important role in that, with Jey turning against Sami, Kevin Owens will attempt to help Sami during the match, his efforts will not be enough, drama in wrestling is what we all love to see. Predicted Winner? and STILL Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Roman Reigns.

***Announcement***
After much thought and consideration, there will not be any WrestleMania content this year, it is important to have a break and enjoy watching both nights of The Grandest Stage of Them All. There will be content in the run up to April and after, stay tuned for that.

The Elimination Chamber review-ish will be available on Sunday.

The rivalry between Gunther and Sheamus continued here, hopefully they will meet again for the Intercontinental Championship so that Sheamus completes the set of winning every major championship, Gunther is more than ready to compete for the Undisputed WWE Championship, it's all about the journey and storyline progression, let's cross that bridge when we get there,

Kofi always has interesting Royal Rumble spots, in terms of you never know what he's going to do, it's been a unfortunate couple of years in this match for him due to miss timing the escapes, Bobby got his payback on Brock, after the Beast cost the All Mighty his shot at the United States Championship previously on RAW. Rey never made it to the ring, Dominik walked out next with his dad's mask,

Shoutout to Logan Paul and Ricochet, they hit each other with springboard clotheslines, this was an awesome visual. Logan also eliminated Seth Rollins, this led to fans speculating about a potential WrestleMania match. Gunther broke the record of spending the most time in a Rumble match, over seventy minutes, he was eventually eliminated by the winner Cody Rhodes.

We saw glow in the dark colours, Bray had Fiend like face paint, there was a Mountain Dew Logo in the middle of the ring, LA Knight put Bray through the announce table, Bray hit Knight with a Sister Abigail for the win.

Wyatt put on a different mask and went after Knight all over the arena, Uncle Howdy dived from high above, onto Knight into a flaming fire pit as Wyatt and the puppets looked on.

RAW Women's Championship Match
Bianca Belair (c) vs. Alexa Bliss
This was a good and quick match, they might have been short on time, Bianca hit the K.O.D on Alexa for the win to remain RAW Women's Champion, we saw a video package of Alexa while she was in the ring, Uncle Howdy asked her if she was in charge, let's see what happens next.

28.Shotzi
29.Nikki Cross
30.Nia Jax

Winner: Rhea Ripley, lastly eliminating Liv Morgan.

Congratulations to Rhea Ripley for winning the Women's Royal Rumble, she will now challenge the RAW or SmackDown Women's Champion, or both, Becky and Damage CTRL fought outside the ring, this will lead to Becky vs. Bayley once again, Asuka returning with the classic Kana look was great, Chelsea Green also returned and was quickly eliminated by Rhea, the number thirty spot was botched as Nia Jax's music hit before the countdown began, Nia is not everyones cup of tea, it was great to see her return.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens walked to the ring first, Roman was second, he was accompanied to the ring by Paul Heyman and Sami Zayn, there were so many near falls, Roman hit Kevin with a low blow, he ordered Sami to get a steel chair, Roman was met with a stunner from his opponent, there were more near falls after both guys hit their signature and finishing moves, this was an awesome match.

Sami told Kevin to stay down, this was a distraction for Roman to spear Kevin through the barricade, the match ended when Roman hit Kevin with the spear for the win, as his championship reign continued.

The drama continued after the match. The Bloodline beat up Kevin Owens and handcuffed him to the ring ropes, The Usos then gave multiple superkicks to the challenger as Sami Zayn looked on, he stopped Roman from hitting KO with a chair, the crowd gave a great reaction, Roman gave the chair to Sami, who ended up hitting Roman, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso beat up Sami, Jey wanted no part of this and walked out upset, Sami was removed from the The Bloodline, Roman got some interesting chants from the crowd to say the least.

The Bloodline walked out and left Sami and Kevin laying in the ring, the closing stages of this event were absolutely incredible.

Royal Rumble 2023 | Predictions

Welcome back to the blog, the Royal Rumble is arguably the best match in all of wrestling, sometimes we, as fans usually know who is going to win the respective Rumble matches beforehand, the fun is not knowing who is going to enter at which number, this years versions look very unpredictable to call, you could make a case for many superstars, from the past or present.

Let's begin the predictions.

Disclaimer: If you have read past Rumble predictions, you will know that usually three names are picked, the game has changed this year, only the predicted winners will be revealed.

Women's Royal Rumble Match
The winner of this match has had a great seven months or so since joining The Judgement Day, taking that group to new heights, she has played a great role in Dominik Mysterio's character development also, it is her time now to win and send a message to everyone in the Women's division once again, starting this Saturday.
Predicted Winner: Rhea Ripley.

Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match
Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight
Dr Pepper wasn't available for this match, just kidding, Mountain Dew is the sponsor, expecting to see shenanigans a plenty here, with puppets from the Firefly Funhouse and Uncle Howdy appearing at different times, these two competitors have built up a interesting story, LA Knight is no doubt going to be a future WWE Champion, great in the ring and talker on the microphone. Bray was a former champion in his last stint in the company, surely he's not going to lose in his first match since returning? right? Predicted Winner: Bray Wyatt.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens
The last time these two met at this prestigious event was in 2021 in a Last Man Standing Match, which was won by Roman, Kevin will be looking to go one better this time, the obvious obstacles he will have to overcome are: Paul Heyman, Jimmy and Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa and the x-factor in this story, Sami Zayn, this will be an excellent match, when all is said and done here, Roman's reign, no pun intended, will continue.
Predicted Winner: and STILL Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Roman Reigns.

RAW Women's Championship Match
Bianca Belair (c) vs. Alexa Bliss

We know that ever since Alexa Bliss joined The Fiend during the Performance Center era, she has not been the same, now that she is under the spell of Uncle Howdy, she has become more dangerous, whereas Bianca, the EST, the reigning and defending RAW Women's Champion, will be out for revenge after suffering an injury from the hands of Bliss weeks ago on Monday Night RAW.
Predicted Winner: and STILL RAW Women's Champion. Bianca Belair.

Men's Royal Rumble Match
Many peoples favourite to win is Cody Rhodes, he has been out of action since defeating Seth Rollins last year, speaking of Seth, he is a previous winner and has been targeting Roman Reigns for quite a while so you can not rule him out, the other candidates are: Brock Lesnar and Sami Zayn, Sami is mentioned as the WWE fans are in full support of him as of late, this is similar to the Yes Movement. This was a very difficult choice to make, the final decision has been made, however, it is a VERY risky one, predictions are all part of the fun, one hundred percent, this person might NOT even be in the match, it is what it is, but, if he is? the moment will no doubt be....Electrifying! Predicted Winner: The Rock

The predictions are now set and officially locked in, be sure to check back here for the review-ish on Sunday as well as archived content here on the website.

WWE RAW | RAW is Thirty

Welcome back to the blog. RAW was LIVE from the Wells Fargo Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart kicked off the thirtieth anniversary, there were audio issues during this promo, salutes to the sound guy for running out and handing Hogan another microphone, he saved this from being a complete mess.

There were various montages of some of the top moments in RAW's history throughout the show.

The Bloodline walked to the ring for a Tribal Court to decide the fate of Sami Zayn as a member of the prestigious group. Paul Heyman acknowledged the ECW chants, the crowd was in full support of Sami here.

We saw footage/exhibits of Sami possibly betraying the Bloodline. he said he had no defence, Jey Uso stopped Solo Sikoa from hitting Sami with the spike, he had footage in defence of Sami.

When all was said and done, Roman said Sami was not guilty and will remain in the Bloodline for now until his final test at the Royal Rumble.

Jimmy and Jey Uso took on Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio with their RAW Tag Team Championships on the line. Jimmy suffered an injury, Sami took his place, with Adam Pearce's approval. This was a great match, Sami pinned Dominik to win the match and ensure The Usos remained RAW Tag Team Champions.

There was a backstage segment involving The Godfather, Ron Simmons, JBL and Baron Corbin as they entered a poker tournament.

LA Knight was talking about his current feud with Bray Wyatt. He was interrupted by the legendary Undertaker, we got the American Badass version of the character, theme song and all, this was great nostalgia, Knight stopped talking after he was interrupted by Bray Wyatt.

Undertaker threw Knight to Wyatt who hit Knight with a Sister Abigail. Taker appeared to give Wyatt some advice before leaving the ring. This felt like a passing of the torch moment.

The poker tournament continued backstage where we saw Hall of Famers Diamond Dallas Page and Alundra Blayze to name a few.

Damage CTRL attacked Becky Lynch and locked her in the Steel Cage before the match began. A lot of people were complaining about this on social media, the consensus is this was cut short due to previous segments going over their allotted time.

DX were joined in the ring with Kurt Angle to continue the nights Anniversary Celebrations before they were interrupted by Imperium. Gunther challenged DX to a fight, they declined, Seth Rollins music hit, he answered the challenge along with the Street Profits.

Teddy Long announced it would be Imperium vs. Street Profits and Seth Rollins in a six man tag team match playa! Kurt Angle was the special referee and Jerry "The King" Lawler joined the commentary team for this one. Seth Rollins and Street Profits defeated Imperium.

We saw more Hall of Famers, Ted DiBiase and IRS, who took all of Corbins winnings, Ron Simmons saw what happened and said, yes you guessed it. DAMN!

Bobby Lashley and MVP talked backstage ahead of Lashley's United States Championship opportunity against Austin Theory.

Ric Flair introduced his daughter, the SmackDown Women's Champion, Charlotte, who made her way to the ring. She was interrupted by the RAW Women's Champion, the EST, Bianca Belair. Sonya Deville interrupted the champions and was challenged by Bianca, the match was made official during the commercial break. Bianca Belair defeated Sonya Deville.

Bianca and Alexa hyped up their match at the Rumble.

The build to Cody's return continued.

Kevin Owens stunned The Miz and put Roman Reigns on notice ahead of the Rumble and then hit Miz with another Stunner.

Brock Lesnar returned during the No Disqualification Match for the United States Championship and hit Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory with F5's. Theory landed on Lashley to get the pinfall win, the closing moments of the show felt rushed. let's see where this goes next in terms of storyline progression.

That does it for the review, if a rating has to be given it would be a five out ten, the first hour of the show was great, however, things seemed to hit a bump and slowed down as time went on.

Be sure to check out the archives on this website as well as the upcoming schedule.
