WWE Royal Rumble 2022 | Predictions

The Royal Rumble kick starts the road to WrestleMania, there will be many bumps along the way, this years event card looks by far the most difficult to predict in recent memory, in terms of the match lineup, without wasting any more time, let's begin with the mixed tag team match scheduled for one fall.

Edge & Beth Phoenix vs. The Miz & Maryse
The build to this match has been promo heavy, with each couple trying to get each other's number ever since the post Day 1 episode of RAW, in regards to this match, we can expect to see more shenanigans by the "It" couple, however, it will be Edge and Beth the ones having the last laugh. Predicted Winners: Edge and Beth Phoenix.

WWE Championship Match
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Bobby Lashley
There's not many dream matches left in the world of wrestling/sports entertainment, Brock vs. Bobby is one of them, judging by what we have seen in recent weeks, it seems as though Brock is underestimating Bobby, which is a dangerous thing to do, as the almighty has been the champion in the past, the other prediction is that Paul Heyman or The Usos could possibly going to play a part in costing Brock the match and championship. Predicted Winner: and NEW WWE Champion. Bobby Lashley.

RAW Women's Championship Match
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Doudrop
The RAW Women's Champion has overcome challenges from Bianca and Liv, however, Doudrop is a new opponent for "Big Time Becks" she will be hoping her strength and physicality will get the job done, Becky will attempt to look for the easy way out in order to hold on to the title. Predicted Winner: and still RAW Women's Champion. Becky Lynch.

Women's Royal Rumble Match Picks
1st Pick: Ronda Rousey.
The Royal Rumble match is all about surprises, you have to class Ronda as a surprise entrant, as she has not been seen on WWE TV since losing the RAW Women's Championship, in the triple threat main event of WrestleMania 35 to Becky, the UFC legend will look to win here in order to get back into the title picture and set up the one on one match against Becky in April.

2nd Pick: Bianca Belair.
The EST of the WWE will look to win the Rumble two years in a row and like Ronda, has unfinished business with Becky, will she achieve her goal? we will find out.

3rd Pick: Sasha Banks.
The Boss returned to SmackDown on the go home show, in an in ring segment with other Rumble participants to confront Charlotte, should she win tonight, she will make an outstanding challenger for either RAW or SmackDown Women's Champions at WrestleMania and you can bank on that.

Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins

Adam Pearce selected Seth as Roman's next opponent for the Universal Championship, meaning we will see the two former members of The Shield collide once more in another much anticipated contest. The Visionary has managed to usurp Roman in championship matches over the years, the most famous one occurring at WrestleMania 31. The Head of The Table will use that as motivation in order to be victorious. Predicted Winner: and still Universal Champion. Roman Reigns.

Men's Royal Rumble Match Picks
1st Pick: Brock Lesnar.
If Brock loses the WWE Championship to Bobby, as predicted, he will no doubt be one of the surprise entrants, going on to win this match and challenge Roman for the Universal Championship, thus continuing their historic rivalry.

2nd Pick: Big E
The former WWE Champion hasn't really done much on WWE TV since losing the title at Day 1, the New Day member can not be counted out of winning this match, hence why he is one of the picks to win here.

3rd Pick: AJ Styles.
AJ made his debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble, won by Triple H of course, AJ has won many championships and defeated big names such as John Cena during his time in the company, he has also teamed up and split from Omos, appeared on NXT for a few weeks and recently defeated rising star Austin Theory, Styles winning here will be Phenomenal.

Thanks for reading the predictions, enjoy the show if you are watching and be sure to check back here for the review-ish.

WWE Day 1 | Review-ish

This is the review-ish for the WWE Day 1, apologies for not posting after the event as promised, plans changed, however, better late than never, we are here, back again with more content for you to enjoy.

Sheamus & Ridge Holland defeated Cesaro and Ricochet in the kick off show, during the match, Ridge suffered an unfortunate nose injury after Ricochet landed incorrectly, mistakes happen in pro wrestling, speedy recovery to Ridge, hope we will see him on TV again very soon.

Jimmy and Jey are still your SmackDown Tag Team Champions after another fantastic encounter with Kofi and Xavier of the New Day, the brothers Uso ran back the nostalgia clock, hitting the 3-D for the pinfall victory, the commentary team mentioned that the move was called 1-D, standing for One and Done.

Drew McIntyre defeated Madcap Moss, no disrespect to these guys, I have not been paying that much attention, those who have, will probably tell you it has been great to watch, something to that degree anyway.

Hip-Hop trio Migos were ringside guests for the RAW Tag Team Championship Match between RK-Bro and Street Profits, Ford and Dawkins were portraying some heel like tendancies in parts of this match, it wasn't enough for them become the new tag champions as Riddle hoisted up Ford to enable Orton to hit the RKO for the 1.2.3. After the match, the two teams shook each others hands as a mark of respect, great moment.

Edge defeated Miz in what was a fun, back and forth match, Miz's wife Maryse tried to help her husband, her efforts were proved to be unsuccesful, as it was Beth Phoenix who proved to be the x-factor in this match, she distracted Miz and Maryse on the entrance way, giving Edge enough time to compose himself and hit the spear for the win, this is probably leading to tag team match at the Rumble at the end of this month.

Becky Lynch is still the RAW Women's Champion after overcoming a great challenge from Liv Morgan, who can be proud of her efforts in what was an excellent match, not sure what is next for Liv? hopefully she will remain in the title picture, in terms of what is next for Becky? it will be interesting to see what the creative team has in store for her, we may get an indication on RAW.

We all know that Roman Reigns was scheduled to face Brock Lesnar for the much anticipated Universal Championship match, unfortunately, plans for that match were cancelled as Roman tested positive for Covid-19. Lesnar was then inserted in the WWE Championship match, which was changed to a Fatal-Five-Way, it was a great main event, with so much carnage, it was reminiscent of what you would see in a 2k video game with a No-DQ stipulation, if you know, you know. The Beast hit Big E with the F5 to become the new WWE Champion at Day 1.

Cue the rumours of a potential match at Royal Rumble between Bobby Lashley and Brock, cue the rumours of a potential Title vs. Title match at WrestleMania between Roman and Brock also, let's see what plays out on TV in the coming weeks and months.

Hope you enjoyed the new format of the review-ish, we are always looking to improve, any feedback and suggestions would be appreciated.

WWE Day 1 | Predictions | Happy New Year!

Readers of the blog, it's been a while hasn't it? sometimes a break is needed, that is now over and we are back! it's a New Year, Yes it is! Day One is the first WWE event on the calendar, the match card looks interesting, check out the line up including the predictions.

WWE RAW Tag Team Championship Match
RK-Bro (c) vs. Street Profits
The Street Profits won the RK-Bronament by defeating The Mysterio's in the finals, will they win tag team gold at Day 1? The answer is no. Orton and Riddle have great chemistry, it is way too early for them to have troubles before they move on to their singles feud. Winners: and still RAW Tag Team Champions. RK-Bro.

Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss
Predicting a "shock" win for Madcap here, after Corbin gets involved in this match. Predicted Winner: Madcap Moss.

Edge vs. The Miz
Edge and Miz have had their differences as of late on different segments on RAW to enhance this story, in terms of the winner of this match? I pick Miz with an assist from Maryse. Predicted Winner: The Miz.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos (c) vs. New Day
This is another chapter of the tremendous rivalry between two great tag teams, it is sure to be one of the matches of the night, if not THE match of the night, expecting to see Jimmy and Jey retain when all is said and done on this occasion, until the two teams meet again in the near future. Predicted Winners: and still SmackDown Tag Team Champions. The Usos.

Fatal Four Way Match for the WWE Championship
Big E (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens vs. Bobby Lashley
Seth Rollins won a ladder match in late October on RAW to become number one contender, the match soon became official for Day 1, soon Kevin and Bobby earned their way to become included in this match through victories of their own, you can make a case for a new champion being crowned, however, the thought is that the title will not change hands here, another prediction for this match is for E to pin KO for the win so Seth can have a valid argument that he wasn't pinned, thus setting up a match against the WWE Champion at the Royal Rumble later this month. Predicted Winner: and still WWE Champion. Big E.

RAW Women's Championship Match
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Liv Morgan
This is the rematch from the early November episode of RAW where Becky retained the title by holding on to the ropes for the victory, Liv wanted a rematch after saying the champion cheated, during the same promo/segment Becky injured Liv's arm and accepted the challenge, the challenger will bring a great fight, but it won't be enough to pick up the win. Predicted Winner: and still RAW Women's Champion. Becky Lynch.

Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
The last time these two great competitors met for the Universal Championship was at Crown Jewel, with "The Head of The Table" emerging victorious, since then, so much has happened in terms of story, including Paul Heyman being fired by Roman, a week before Christmas. Heyman will be the x-factor in the closing moments of this contest, who will he end up helping? the belief is Roman, showing everyone watching it was a set up from the beginning from the champion and Heyman to ensure the championship stays in The Bloodline. Predicted Winner: and still Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.

Enjoy the show if you are watching.

Happy New Year.

Crown Jewel | Match Results & Review-ish

WWE Crown Jewel took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with thousands in attendance and millions watching around the world. Kings and Queens were crowned, titles were on the line and so much more on the night. Below are the match results followed by the Review-ish of course.

Kick Off Show Match Result
The Usos defeated The Hurt Business.

Main Card Match Results
Edge defeated Seth Rollins in Hell in a Cell.

Mansoor defeated Mustafa Ali.

RK-Bro defeated AJ Styles & Omos to remain RAW Tag Team Champions.

Zelina Vega defeated Doudrop to win the Queen's Crown Tournament.

Goldberg defeated Bobby Lashley in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.

Xavier Woods defeated Finn Balor to become King of the Ring.

Big E defeated Drew McIntyre to remain WWE Champion.

Becky Lynch successfully defended the SmackDown Women's Championship against Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair.

Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to remain Universal Champion.

Crown Jewel Review-ish
The trilogy between Edge and Seth was (probably) settled in what was a fantastic show opener, they put everything on the line in order to be victorious. The Rated-R Superstar prevailed, the end result was met with a great ovation from the crowd.

Mansoor's winning run in his home town continues here after picking up the win against Mustafa Ali, the talking point here was Olympic Silver Medallist Tareg Hamedi making an appearance after the match.

The match for the RAW Tag Team Championships did not last long, Riddle and Orton made quick work of AJ and Omos from out of nowhere, excuse the pun. Congratulations are in order for Zelina Vega, who won the first ever Queen's Crown Tournament after her pinfall victory against Doudrop, this was the longest match of the tournament overall.

The Goldberg vs. Bobby Lashley match was very similar to SummerSlam, as predicted. The Almighty tried to take out the Hall of Famer Goldberg's leg by using the steel chair, who then quickly recovered, the contest ended after Goldberg speared Lashley from the side of the rampway through the table, an interesting finish, something different, which is always nice to see.

Xavier Woods realised his dream of becoming King of the Ring after defeating Finn Balor, there may be a coronation ceremony on SmackDown tomorrow night for the New Day member. Big E is still the WWE Champion after defeating Drew McIntyre, again, the outcome was very predictable due to the draft, very entertaining match, likewise with the triple threat between Becky vs. Bianca vs. Sasha for the SmackDown Women's Championship, which very much was THE best match at Crown Jewel.

In the main event, The Tribal Chief, The Head of the Table. Roman Reigns is still our Universal Champion thanks to a win over Brock Lesnar, going into this match, it was interesting to think about the type of role Paul Heyman was going to play here due to history, we saw he couldn't decide who to go against, thus throwing the title in the ring for the two guys to fight over while the referee was knocked down. The Usos then ran down to help their cousin win.

This years Crown Jewel arguably goes down as the best pay-per-view since it began, the focus now turns to SmackDown tomorrow night as the rosters from the Draft take full effect, leading to Survivor Series on November 21st.

Crown Jewel 2021 | Predictions

Crown Jewel will take place LIVE from Mohammad Abdu Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the line up is stacked, almost WrestleMania worthy. Time to take a look at the match card including the predictions.

Match Card
Mansoor vs. Mustafa Ali
The story between Mansoor and Mustafa has been one of the most intriguing ones in the company in the past months, they've gone from teaming up and losing regularly, trying to rebuild from their differences to where we are now, a one on one match, the feeling is Mustafa has always been booked poorly by creative and there is truth in that, he should be in the Intercontinental Championship picture now he is on SmackDown after the draft, Mansoor is also on SmackDown, which may mean we will see a couple of matches after Crown Jewel. Mansoor has never lost in Saudi Arabia if the memory is correct, he is the choice to win here once again. Predicted Winner: Mansoor.

Hell in a Cell
Edge vs. Seth Rollins
We are tied at one win a piece in this particular feud, October is usually a month for Hell in a Cell pay-per-views, this more or less follows the same pattern, in terms of the winner? here is a hint, on this day, I see clearly. Predicted Winner: Edge.

Queen's Crown Tournament Finals
Zelina Vega vs. Doudrop
It is believed that matches leading up to the Finals have not lasted long in terms of duration, which is a disrespect to the talent involved in the tournament, history suggests the villains tend to win, this will not be the case unfortunately for Zelina here. Predicted Winner of the Queen's Crown Tournament: Doudrop.

King of the Ring Tournament Finals
Xavier Woods vs. Finn Balor
Xavier has been pitching for the King of the Ring Tournament on social media for quite a while before it was bought back to TV, he has made it to the Finals where he will take on Finn Balor. Will Woods realise his dream of winning? or will "The Prince" become King instead? the choice has been made. Predicted Winner and King of the Ring. Finn Balor.

If Balor wins, it will be interesting to see if Woods' attitude and behaviour changes in the next weeks after the tournament, including a split between him and Kofi out of anger, the scenario is very possible.

No Holds Barred Match
Goldberg vs. Bobby Lashley
We saw an abrupt finish to their last match at SummerSlam, the build up to this match has been somewhat weird in terms of promos. Goldberg's son Gage has been mentioned a lot, which makes it seem as though he will be involved towards the end to help his dad pick up the win. Predicted Winner: Goldberg.

WWE Championship Match
Big E (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
There would be more interest in this championship match if Big E and Drew were not already drafted to separate brands recently, it will be a good one for sure, however, the title will not change hands, subject to change of course. Predicted Winner: and still WWE Champion. Big E.

RAW Tag Team Championship Match

RK-Bro vs. AJ Styles & Omos
Expecting Riddle and Orton to remain tag team champions after this match, followed by a possible split after Crown Jewel between Omos and AJ Styles, similar to Mansoor and Mustafa. Predicted Winners: and still RAW Tag Team Champions. RK-Bro.

SmackDown Women's Championship Match
Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sasha Banks
This will be a great match, perhaps a candidate for Match of the Year, however, the draft has once again, made the outcome very easy to predict. the pick is for Becky to remain champion and creative to simply change titles between her and Charlotte afterwards, a lazy scenario we have seen too often before. Predicted Winner: and still RAW Women's Champion. Becky Lynch.

Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
This will be Roman's toughest challenge to date against Brock, who returned at SummerSlam, the belief is Paul Heyman will play a very important role in terms of the winner, as he has history with both guys involved in this match of course, a fact which has to be acknowleged here, no pun intended, expect "The Tribal Chief" to remain champion and continue the run. Predicted Winner: and still Universal Champion. Roman Reigns.

Be sure to check back here for the Crown Jewel Review-ish, which will be available hours after the event, thanks for reading.

WWE Draft 2021 | Night One Results

It was time to shake things up again in the WWE. SmackDown! was LIVE from Baltimore, Maryland, this episode did have matches throughout the show, headlined by Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks in the main event, however, all focus was on the draft to see where people ended up on night one. Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville were in charge of the announcements.

Friday Night SmackDown Picks

Round One:
Universal Champion Roman Reigns and RAW Women's Champion Charlotte Flair

Round Two: Drew McIntyre and New Day's Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston

Round Three: Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss and Hit Row

Round Four: Naomi and Jeff Hardy

Monday Night RAW Draft Picks

Round One:
WWE Champion Big E and Bianca Belair

Round Two: RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro and Edge

Round Three: Women's Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and Nikki Cross and Keith Lee

Round Four: Rey and Dominik Mysterio and Austin Theory

Draft Night One Thoughts
Looking at the results, Charlotte being drafted to SmackDown makes it inevitable for Becky to go to RAW on Monday.

Drew McIntyre and Jeff Hardy being on the blue brand will provide two more challengers for Roman Reigns to attempt to defeat on the road to WrestleMania next year, The New Day have been split up again in the draft for the second year in a row, the crowd did not react well to that decision, it will also be interesting to see how Hit Row fair on the main roster, the group being on SmackDown makes said brand the A-show, if you didn't know, now you know.

In terms of RAW's picks? Bianca will be a great addition to the Monday Night brand, as mentioned earlier, it is inevitable Becky will be drafted on Monday so their rivalry for the title can continue.

Edge being drafted to RAW means Seth Rollins will likely follow him so they can they can also continue where they left off from Friday Nights. Austin Theory has found the way (no pun intended) to the main roster after a successful run on NXT, hopefully, like Hit Row, he will be booked correctly.

Be sure to check back here on Tuesday for results and thoughts of Night Two of the WWE Draft.
