Crown Jewel Review-ish
The trilogy between Edge and Seth was (probably) settled in what was a fantastic show opener, they put everything on the line in order to be victorious. The Rated-R Superstar prevailed, the end result was met with a great ovation from the crowd.
Mansoor's winning run in his home town continues here after picking up the win against Mustafa Ali, the talking point here was Olympic Silver Medallist Tareg Hamedi making an appearance after the match.
The match for the RAW Tag Team Championships did not last long, Riddle and Orton made quick work of AJ and Omos from out of nowhere, excuse the pun. Congratulations are in order for Zelina Vega, who won the first ever Queen's Crown Tournament after her pinfall victory against Doudrop, this was the longest match of the tournament overall.
The Goldberg vs. Bobby Lashley match was very similar to SummerSlam, as predicted. The Almighty tried to take out the Hall of Famer Goldberg's leg by using the steel chair, who then quickly recovered, the contest ended after Goldberg speared Lashley from the side of the rampway through the table, an interesting finish, something different, which is always nice to see.
Xavier Woods realised his dream of becoming King of the Ring after defeating Finn Balor, there may be a coronation ceremony on SmackDown tomorrow night for the New Day member. Big E is still the WWE Champion after defeating Drew McIntyre, again, the outcome was very predictable due to the draft, very entertaining match, likewise with the triple threat between Becky vs. Bianca vs. Sasha for the SmackDown Women's Championship, which very much was THE best match at Crown Jewel.
In the main event, The Tribal Chief, The Head of the Table. Roman Reigns is still our Universal Champion thanks to a win over Brock Lesnar, going into this match, it was interesting to think about the type of role Paul Heyman was going to play here due to history, we saw he couldn't decide who to go against, thus throwing the title in the ring for the two guys to fight over while the referee was knocked down. The Usos then ran down to help their cousin win.
This years Crown Jewel arguably goes down as the best pay-per-view since it began, the focus now turns to SmackDown tomorrow night as the rosters from the Draft take full effect, leading to Survivor Series on November 21st.
