WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 | Review-ish

Welcome back to the blog, the Premium Live Event known as Elimination Chamber, is now in the record books. Admittedly, I was unaware of there being a match on the kick-off show, Rey Mysterio defeated the Miz, Rey went on to celebrate with his son Dominik in the ring, let's rundown the main card with thoughts included.

Elimination Chamber started off with the Universal Championship on the line, Roman's and Goldberg's entrances had a WrestleMania like feel to them, the challenger seemed gassed early on, he tried his usual of surprising his opponent by hitting spears from out of nowhere, shoutout to Randy Orton. Roman won by putting Goldberg in the submission hold, to wrap up a quick six minute match, what's next for The Hall of Famer? we shall see, whereas Reigns moves on to WrestleMania in six weeks time. Acknowledge Him!

The Women's Elimination Chamber match was fantastic, big respect to the six participants involved, the crowd were invested throughout, everyone bought their a-game here, Rhea Ripley was outstanding, she looks like she is rediscovering her level of class from her NXT days, the EST of the WWE Bianca Belair won the Chamber, lastly eliminating Alexa Bliss.

Ronda Rousey and Naomi won their respective tag team match, against Charlotte and Sonya Deville, even though Ronda had to wrestle with one arm tied behind her back, everyone will move on to their respective feuds. Drew McIntyre defeated Madcap Moss to move on to Corbin, the Falls Count Anywhere Match wasn't anything special, respectfully.

Becky successfully defended her RAW Women's Championship against Lita, the match itself was nice, however, the finish was a little weak, the Manhandle slam lacked a little impact, the stage is now set for Becky vs. Bianca at 'Mania, hopefully this was not the last we saw of Lita in the ring, she received a great ovation after the contest.

The Usos vs. Viking Raiders ended in a no contest, as Jimmy and Jey attacked Erik and Ivar before the match even happened, now it was time for the main event, the Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship, Bobby Lashley was taken out during the match unexpectedly with an injury, which meant there was going to be a new champion crowned, when Brock Lesnar entered, he pinned everyone one by one, going on to become the NEW WWE Champion in easy fashion, it was like playing a WWE game on easy mode, it has to be said, Brock chasing Austin Theory and hitting the F5 on him, from the roof of the pod, all the way to the Chamber floor, was a great visual in what was a otherwise disappointing match, yet a very good show overall

As mentioned earlier, WrestleMania is six weeks away, stay tuned for more content as the journey on the road to the Grandest Stage of Them All continues.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 | Predictions

Readers of the blog, it's that time again, time to predict match scenarios and outcomes for another WWE Premium Live Event, some may be logical, some may be over the top, at the end of the day, we love watching this fine art of sports entertainment. Elimination Chamber will be LIVE this Saturday from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as you can see, the card is so stacked, let's run through the eight matches, here we go!

Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz
Fresh off the loss to Edge at the Royal Rumble, Miz has got himself in a somewhat rushed feud with Rey and Dominik, this one has followed a similar pattern to the one against the Rated-R Superstar. In terms of the winner? WWE will want to put smiles on the thousands in attendance. Predicted Winner? Rey Mysterio.

Ronda Rousey & Naomi vs. Charlotte Flair & Sonya Deville
This is a case of two stories intertwining with each other, Ronda challenging Charlotte for WrestleMania and Naomi and Sonya continuing their rivalry also, why Sonya chooses to get in the way of The Glow is something, hopefully, we will find out one day. Predicted Winners: Ronda & Naomi.

Elimination Chamber Match for an opportunity for the RAW Women's Championship at WrestleMania
Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair vs. Doudrop vs. Nikki A.S.H vs. Alexa Bliss
Six fantastic competitors will be in the Chamber, not sure who will enter at what stage, we will find that out during the match itself, getting to the decision of the winner is a process of elimination, no pun intended, Liv has had opportunities in the past to win the title, but has failed, Rhea and Nikki are looking to rebuild their singles careers after their split, that rules them out of the win, Doudrop also recently lost to Becky, Alexa will return to action at this event to possibly set up a storyline for April with someone, which leaves the EST to pick up the win, move on to WrestleMania and get revenge from SummerSlam.
Predicted Winner: Bianca Belair.

Falls Count Anywhere
Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss
Drew has been fighting Moss and Baron Corbin for quite a while now, one would assume he would be involved in the world title picture, which is unlikely at this point, the Scot should win here, however, with creative booking this match and the stipulation included, there could be a shock result here. Predicted Winner: Drew McIntyre.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos (c) vs. Viking Raiders

Jimmy and Jey have had quite a run as the champions, their latest challenge will be from the Viking Raiders, who won the gauntlet on SmackDown to become number one contenders, Erik and Ivar have not tasted championship success for over two years or so, they will look to change all of that with victory, however, they will fall short. Predicted Winners: and still SmackDown Tag Team Champions. The Usos.

RAW Women's Championship Match
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lita
This will be a great match from two competitors from different eras in WWE history, Lita will attempt to halt Becky's reign, however, the Big Time will be too much for her on this occasion. Predicted Winner: and still RAW Women's Champion. Becky Lynch.

Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Goldberg
Reigns vs. Goldberg was first scheduled for the championship at WrestleMania 36, plans changed due to the pandemic, they will finally meet for the title at Elimination Chamber. Goldberg will try his usual tactic of hitting the Spear repeatedly on the champion early on, along with the Jackhammer with a very near fall, in an attempt to get the crowd off their seats, Reigns will recover and gain control of the match be victorious. Predicted Winner: and still Universal Champion. The Tribal Chief. The Head of The Table. Roman Reigns.

Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship
Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins vs. Austin Theory vs. Riddle vs. AJ Styles
It is unclear whether this will be the main event, which features five established superstars and Austin Theory, who is trying to make a name for himself, he is doing well at the moment, however, there is a long way to go for him to be one of the main people on the RAW roster, you can see above who is competing in the Chamber, the feeling is that there will be a new champion crowned, very difficult one to call, there has been talk of the WrestleMania main event being title vs. title between Roman and Brock, which is why The Beast is the choice here. Predicted Winner: and NEW WWE Champion. Brock Lesnar..

Here is an extra prediction for you readers out there, forget about forbidden doors, do not expect to see any shock appearances, those Rhodes are closed, another pun intended, if you know, you know, you could say that pun is elite. Thank you for reading, be sure to check back here for the review-ish hours after the event has ended.
