It's October which means only one thing, it's time for Hell in a Cell. Let's not waste any time and get started with the match predictions (in no particular order) Here we go!
Match Card
Money in the Bank Match
Otis vs. The Miz
The "A-lister" has been plotting how to get the Money in the Bank Contract away from Otis for a long time now, Miz has somehow had the power to have Mandy Rose traded over to RAW along with splitting up Heavy Machinery, resulting in Tucker being drafted to Monday Nights also, fast forward to the last episode of SmackDown, these two participants faced each other in court, the judge was JBL (John Bradshaw Layfield for those who don't know) who, after being paid off by Miz, ruled that this match was to take place at Hell in a Cell for the contract, there have been rumors in the past of the creative team trying to figure out ways to remove the briefcase from the current holder, this is obviously the "solution" they have. I have an interesting scenario, which is Tucker possibly costing Otis the match and the contract, will that happen? we shall see. I have made my choice. Predicted Winner: Otis.
Jeff Hardy vs. Elias
Elias returned to WWE TV on RAW and attacked Jeff Hardy a couple of weeks ago after spending time on the sidelines, Elias blamed Hardy for the incident which occurred on SmackDown a few months ago, will this match be on the kick-off show? time will tell, in regards to the winner? here is my pick. Predicted Winner: Jeff Hardy.
WWE Championship Match
Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton
With all due respect to these guys in the match, It's been a nice rivalry for the Championship, however, I am ready for Drew & Randy to move on to different opponents. I believe I have mentioned this on the blog before when I say there have been rumours of Orton defending the title against Edge at WrestleMania next year. If the "Viper" wins here then the 'Mania match is probably going to happen. I say probably because of the old saying "card subject to change" will we see chaos towards the end of this match thanks to interference from "RETRIBUTION"? who, to be honest, are probably finished due to bad booking. When all is said and done, I expect the Scot to win here and go on to face either Bray Wyatt or Sheamus. Predicted Winner: and still WWE Champion. Drew McIntyre.
SmackDown Women's Championship Match
Bayley (c) vs. Sasha Banks
This is another example of when great friends become great rivals, I love that element to this storyline, I believe this will be an excellent match for sure, I would expect to see Bayley attempt to win this one quickly by going after Sasha's recently "injured" neck, whereas Sasha will obviously do her best to avoid that from happening, to me this match will go down to who makes the fatal mistake in the closing moments, after much consideration, the mistake will be made by Bayley, who will then tap out. Predicted Winner: and NEW SmackDown Women's Champion. Sasha Banks.
"I Quit" Hell in a Cell Match for the Universal Championship
Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso
This match is history making, it is the first ever "I Quit" match taking place in Hell in a Cell. Roman is now the best heel in the company by far, whereas Jey is continuing to make moves as a singles competitor, it's nice to see, Jimmy returned to SmackDown on the go home episode (spoiler for anyone who has not seen it) This match is like a sequel to the movie/match we saw at Clash of Champions, A scenario of Jimmy turning against his brother by forcing Jey to say "I Quit" and then alligning with "The Tribal Chief" at the end of the show would be great. Predicted Winner: and still Universal Champion. Roman Reigns.
At the time of writing this, there are five matches on the card, I expect more to be announced on social media. The Hell in a Cell review-ish will be available on Monday. Thanks for reading.
