WWE Day 1 | Review-ish

This is the review-ish for the WWE Day 1, apologies for not posting after the event as promised, plans changed, however, better late than never, we are here, back again with more content for you to enjoy.

Sheamus & Ridge Holland defeated Cesaro and Ricochet in the kick off show, during the match, Ridge suffered an unfortunate nose injury after Ricochet landed incorrectly, mistakes happen in pro wrestling, speedy recovery to Ridge, hope we will see him on TV again very soon.

Jimmy and Jey are still your SmackDown Tag Team Champions after another fantastic encounter with Kofi and Xavier of the New Day, the brothers Uso ran back the nostalgia clock, hitting the 3-D for the pinfall victory, the commentary team mentioned that the move was called 1-D, standing for One and Done.

Drew McIntyre defeated Madcap Moss, no disrespect to these guys, I have not been paying that much attention, those who have, will probably tell you it has been great to watch, something to that degree anyway.

Hip-Hop trio Migos were ringside guests for the RAW Tag Team Championship Match between RK-Bro and Street Profits, Ford and Dawkins were portraying some heel like tendancies in parts of this match, it wasn't enough for them become the new tag champions as Riddle hoisted up Ford to enable Orton to hit the RKO for the 1.2.3. After the match, the two teams shook each others hands as a mark of respect, great moment.

Edge defeated Miz in what was a fun, back and forth match, Miz's wife Maryse tried to help her husband, her efforts were proved to be unsuccesful, as it was Beth Phoenix who proved to be the x-factor in this match, she distracted Miz and Maryse on the entrance way, giving Edge enough time to compose himself and hit the spear for the win, this is probably leading to tag team match at the Rumble at the end of this month.

Becky Lynch is still the RAW Women's Champion after overcoming a great challenge from Liv Morgan, who can be proud of her efforts in what was an excellent match, not sure what is next for Liv? hopefully she will remain in the title picture, in terms of what is next for Becky? it will be interesting to see what the creative team has in store for her, we may get an indication on RAW.

We all know that Roman Reigns was scheduled to face Brock Lesnar for the much anticipated Universal Championship match, unfortunately, plans for that match were cancelled as Roman tested positive for Covid-19. Lesnar was then inserted in the WWE Championship match, which was changed to a Fatal-Five-Way, it was a great main event, with so much carnage, it was reminiscent of what you would see in a 2k video game with a No-DQ stipulation, if you know, you know. The Beast hit Big E with the F5 to become the new WWE Champion at Day 1.

Cue the rumours of a potential match at Royal Rumble between Bobby Lashley and Brock, cue the rumours of a potential Title vs. Title match at WrestleMania between Roman and Brock also, let's see what plays out on TV in the coming weeks and months.

Hope you enjoyed the new format of the review-ish, we are always looking to improve, any feedback and suggestions would be appreciated.
